Love it. I retired early - in the name of science - to avoid being forced to participate in an experiment.

It's still a dystopian world out there. Some days are GREAT, and others I vibrate like a tuning fork and stay close to home. Crazy.

Assuming you are in the US, here in the Netherlands you can add some:

police beat the crap out of us for our protection, in the name of science.

Critical medical doctors were dragged out of their houses,

in the name of science.

An 80 year old man jumped of a building because he couldn't face another lockdown, we had to "do it for the elderly",

in the name of science.

Children commited suicide,

in the name of science.

We have been and still are dehumanised, in the name of science.

We have to watch our law abiding loved ones suffer, in the name of science.

I just read your bio! I am literally quite thrilled to have discovered you as most days I feel like I am living in some horrid Body Snatcher movie. So, I determined the overhead rate for federally sponsored research and have been in a LOT of labs throughout the US, often suited up like an astronaut. Thus, I knew cloth masks were absurd and something was very “off”. I am a geek who reads incessantly. I don’t really know how to explain this other than I literally felt like my soul was dying in 2011 and knew I was going to have to change my life. It is pretty ironic that I now work at a church that has a private Christian school attached. I do not have to be a part of mutilating small children or killing off the elderly. It has been quite the lifestyle change but my conscience is clear. Anyhow, I am very excited to have discovered your Substack.

Thank you for your poem. I was once a part of “the science” years ago. I am relieved to not have been a part of this destruction. I used to not believe in “evil”.....I do now. I truly do not have the vocabulary for this level of evil. I was tempted to use the word “corruption” however, I truly believe it is beyond that.

Great poem! A few deductions from this experience, amongst many others.... Most Americans really suck at science and most American Doctors will kill for money!!

it's not over. My friend finally got to go back to work. She works with seniors keeping them active. They have just brought back the mask mandate again. So she is back to not working for them again. and apparently they are going to cancel the program instead of allowing her to have a bare face because they are so short staffed.

Wow. That’s terrible. Can’t say I’m surprised though. These people will never stop.

Yep that's what they did in the name of science.

Great poem, Mike.

Follow the money ... and you'll find the "science".

Ohh I WISH this was about money...

Pseudoscience replaces real science. Unconscionable.

"science" has been co-opted/subverted by corrupt politics. Now any desired "scientific" result can be purchased. All that the public hears about "science" comes from the very unscientific media propagandists & presstitutes.

We don't have to worry about what is done in the name of science as long as it doesn't outperform EVs to cure global warming.
