It turns out that if you trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding that it may improve your health. Read on to find out how.
Yes! God is the ultimate doctor. Teaches me how to heal, through trials and health issues, in my case. He teaches me what to eat, what to avoid... everything.
What people like Wes Huf fail to mention on these big podcasts he's been going to (though I do hugely appreciate the historical evidence he represents better than pretty much anyone) is that disbelief in God is actually caused by *hate* of God, ultimately. I can see it in people; we shouldn't expect someone like Rogan, to admit Jesus is God via presenting "historical evidence." Jesus' presence is *much* more than just historical evidence, he makes himself known to anyone really searching for the answer. Worldy people, have this ignorant self-is-master logic (which is ironic, because they also claim the truth cannot be known). Even when the countless lies of science is widely debunked, they continue to trust man's flawed conclusions and outright deceptions.
Whatever God puts on your path is His Will, to either accept or reject. Praying for discernment should be first act...try your best, if what you do fails, then continue on with His original plan.
Dying to self will because I want GOD’s Will for my life. I don’t do it perfectly but I know when self will takes over I always need GOD’s help to extract me. When patience prevails & I TRUST GOD the result is better than anything I could imagine. Jesus: John 15:5 “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing”. AMEN AMEN I must decrease and He must increase! 🙏🏼🕊🙌🏼🔥
Amen! It’s not easy. That is for sure. Transformation is glacial. It may feel like we never decrease and he never increases (at least it does for me) but, my trust in Him is unwavering and I know the more I let go, the more He will conform me into His image. God bless you!
Amen Brother! All the mercies new every day all the kindness of GOD that are blessing beyond what I deserve tell me.. ALL the promises of GOD are yes in him.. it is why my Trust and I want to absolutely surrender to His Will. He my Rock! 🔥🕊🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 ( Repasted after accidentally deleted 🤦🏻♀️)
I know this is the truth, Mike, but sometimes I don’t exactly know HOW to surrender.
What does it look like? I feel like I’m doing so at times but whenever I am faced with a decision for ex I honestly don’t know which “way” is God’s will. Also, “surrendering” can sometimes feel like I am not “doing” anything at all .
To accomplish anything in the world, it seems, one must put one’s human thoughts to work…and yet as soon as thinking starts ,
the trouble begins…
Next thing you know you’re involved with worldly things… and God is somewhere deep down inside, His voice barely a whisper against the noise of worldly “goings on.”
Sometimes too, “surrendering” feels like “giving in” - Perpetuating or opening up to toxic situations; tyranny, evil, etc; even church settings can be toxic - but then I think aren’t we supposed to “die to the world?” . “Sacrifice ourselves”? “Pick up your cross and follow me” ?? Yes, that comes to mind and yet I think, how contradictory- “my yoke is light?” Are we supposed to suffer? Does God want that? Are we supposed to preach the gospel “far and wide” which includes to a bunch of angry heathens who hate you for reciting scripture and resist you even more when you speak of Christ’s Love? When you know people have been severely wounded BY their religions , abused by their priests? It’s confusing —
And not easy to KNOW this business of surrendering. Thank you for letting me ramble incoherently !! I am open to suggestions!
There isn't an easy answer, but we want our minds to be conformed to God's and we want to look at things with an eternal perspective and not focus on the moment.
The two things that help me most are reading/studying the Bible daily (I like to start and end each day with God's word), and spending time with God in prayer throughout the day. Sometimes prayer will be a quick "help" or "this is neat". Sometimes it will be extended prayer alone. Sometimes it will be group prayer with one or more fellow believers.
I've found the best way to start getting in the habit of following the command to "pray continually" is to associate prayer with things you do every day, ie waking, meals, before diving (my son does this), bedtime, etc. This can start a habit of prayer. Once this becomes part of your life, add commenting on God's amazing creation, thanking God for good things and answered prayers, praying for other's spiritual and physical needs, and praying for guidance in the little decisions in life. Pretty soon prayer with God becomes like an old married couple who aren't talking continually, but are sharing every part of their lives.
With the Bible I recommend reading the whole Bible through cover to cover multiple times so you are exposed to the whole word of God and can see how all of it relates and helps us understand the other parts. Once you are familiar with the whole Bible, you can then dig deeper into a particular book of the Bible and read commentators. (I don't like getting man's input until you know the Bible and have some ability to recognize error. There is a lot of unbiblical teaching out there.)
Thanks so much for your supportive words and advice. I think when I wrote that yesterday I was not in the very best frame of mind! I do realize it is a daily struggle with the small self and a constant effort to align with the divine Self within . I’ve been a practicing orthodox Christian for thirteen years and so I have delved into this journey pretty deep.
But despite this, and all I have read about in the gospels and other religious texts like books about the lives and teachings of the saints , I still struggle with HOW to surrender.
Sometimes as I say when I practice surrendering my will I feel almost
a coldness and a detachment that doesn’t feel like love but like something else; I guess I’ll just keep praying about it .
The world is so crazy right now .
I definitely need to keep it at bay and return to the silence more often because I’m so sensitive to the chaos . Thanks again for your help and care.
JESUS: John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
My favorite passage! Thank you!
I struggle.

Not an incoherent rant to me. I can relate🙏💕

Amen sister! So true.
God’s gift to us is life, what we do with it is our gift to Him. He gave us free will, the choice is ours.
Amen!
Amen brother. Very well said.
