Hello, I'm new to substack and relatively new to Christianity. I'm still reading the Bible for the first time and I'm proud to have kept it up over the years.
I can relate actually. I too, ask God for guidance, and right now I'm getting crickets. But, if I've learned anything, it's God's timing is best. Last year God told me he was taking me out of my comfort zone, and he sure did, but I sailed through because I surrender to his will and ways. You're also right about being stewards for his truth because we need more God to combat the ugly that's everywhere. I recently heard...God doesn't want people to do it perfect ( which is my particular flaw), he just wants people to do it! Thanks for sharing!😉
Thank you sister. It can be frustrating having to wait on the Lord. I know it. But His timing is not our timing and sometimes we just have to be still and available to Him whenever the time may come. I can also resonate with being put into a difficult situation. The last 6 months or so I was brought into something I never would have anticipated or chosen for myself. Many days I didn't know how I was going to get through. All I could do was give it to the Lord and take Him as wisdom and peace. Before I knew it I was through and I know it was Him because I know that I couldn't have done it myself. May the Lord continue to bless you. Continue to rest in Him and be assured that He will find you and use you when the time and place are right.
Great message brother! Praise the LORD! So great to see you growing in Christ & Magnifying the LORD GOD! 💯❤️🔥Keep your feet planted to Follow Him & He will direct your steps & manifest to you! I have a helper in Andrew Murray’s 31 Day Devotional “Waiting On GOD” I will put the link below. I listen to it month after month & got the book on Amazon to follow along. ❤️🔥 Scroll Reader AUDIO BOOK on YT
Thank you sister! May He continue to grow in us all and direct our steps whichever way He desires for His purpose. I appreciate the recommendation on the devotional. I've been going through Murray's other devotional, "Daily in His Presence". It's wonderful too. Check it out if you haven't. I can post a link if you need. God bless.
I hope you continue to write. I know this particular article brought up a lot of what I too am struggling with. Your words really touched me. Thank you.
Thank you sister. It's helpful perhaps to know that others in Christ are dealing with the same things as we all grow in Him. I really appreciate your comment. God bless.
In college (late 70s), there was an enjoinder going around that you can't steer a bicycle that's not moving, regarding waiting on the Lord for what to do. In the intervening years, it seems more like a dad running alongside the toddler weaving, weaving on the tricycle, and Dad letting us try until catastrophe nears, because we learn from the scary times, too, but also eventually we look back and see how He brought us along the path. Pretty feeble compared to His actual goodness and provision, lol, but just sorta chiming in. May you find peace in His way, and thanks for sharing!
Welcome back Mike! You have been missed. Sounds like you are going through a growth spurt. Just keep your eyes and your heart open and let God teach you. 💗
Thank you Kathie. I really appreciate that. What a great way of putting it. A growth spurt! Or perhaps Christ is going through a growth spurt in me. Less of me and more of Him! Either way, thank you and God Bless.
Thank you brother. I appreciate that. I'm sure it's no consolation but, it's helpful to know that other brothers and sisters in Christ are dealing with the same things. May He lift us all up together in Himself for His glory. God bless you too.

Better words couldn't be said. I literally struggle with everything you wrote. In fact it could have been me penning the words. God bless you, sir.
